About the position

The Cloud Container Security Engineer role at Citi involves ensuring, maintaining, and improving the security of container technologies within the firm. This position is part of the Container Security team and focuses on engineering automated security solutions that enhance internal platforms while facilitating a smoother development lifecycle for developers. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to improve the container software development lifecycle (SDLC) and implement security measures effectively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, architect, build and enhance Container Security tools and platforms that provide capabilities for CISO and developers.
• Own solutions that are expected to operate and perform at scale across the organization.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and partners across Engineering and Operations teams and partner with teams in the wider Citi organization across different time zones.

Requirements

• 6+ years' experience in Container Security working with technologies like k8s and container technologies such as Docker, Podman and Openshift.
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and current systems.
• Expertise in a major programming language such as Python or Java, and associated tooling (Git, Maven, IDEs, Jenkins, Bitbucket etc.) is required.
• Experience of the full lifecycle of design, implementation and running of enterprise software solutions involving cross functional team collaboration.
• Experience using Container Image Scanning platforms and tooling.
• Expertise with DevOps, CI/CD and agile methodology.
• Experience of security fundamentals with relation to a k8s platform and DevSecOps a plus.
• Highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
