About the position

Sev1Tech is seeking a Cloud Operations Analyst to support a large program for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) focused on network, cybersecurity, and cloud operations. The role involves managing and optimizing cloud services, monitoring systems, and responding to incidents to ensure the security and performance of critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot issues for DHS's cloud compute, storage, and application hosting platforms.
• Monitor and analyze cloud computing statistics and systems using CSP statistical feeds and monitoring tool alert captures.
• Conduct real-time monitoring and triaging of security alerts from various systems including SIEM and cloud services.
• Monitor communication channels for notifications of network and cloud incidents, outages, and service degradations.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree, or at least 4 years IT work experience in federal government contracting.
• Five (5) or more years of experience as a Cloud Analyst.
• Experience monitoring networks, applications, and platforms in the cloud and on-prem including data centers.
• Cloud operations experience with systems and data hosted in Microsoft and AWS environments.
• Experience analyzing alerts and data from cloud native and other infrastructure and application monitoring tools.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to triage and efficiently escalate network and security issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship in DHS Public Trust.
