About the position

As a Cloud Data Analyst with the Data Platform team at Kforce, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Business and Technical teams. Your primary responsibility will be to define data standards and governance rules based on inputs received from business stakeholders and data stewards. You will own the roadmap for data governance and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including system of record technical counterparts, business lines, platform owners, and both upstream and downstream technical teams. This collaboration is essential to support a centralized customer data platform that facilitates data analysis and governance tasks. In this role, you will work closely with systems of record, business teams, data governance teams, and data architects to develop new data governance rules. Your efforts will ensure that enterprise data is trusted, connected, accessible, and of the highest quality. You will define key metrics to track success and prioritize features, while also identifying data integrity issues and establishing metrics for critical data tracking. Additionally, you will establish data governance policies in collaboration with various business teams and data stewards, defining product metrics that align with business objectives. As a Cloud Data Analyst, you will also be responsible for defining data access controls and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. You will enforce data governance standards by leveraging your expertise in data analysis to maintain data integrity and quality. Throughout the product lifecycle, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams, from requirements definition to application architecture, and independently lead projects, utilizing your proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate and address challenges effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise between Business and Technical teams to define data standards and governance rules.
  • Own the roadmap and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Partner with system of record technical counterparts, business lines, platform owners, and upstream and downstream technical counterparts to support a centralized customer data platform.
  • Develop new data governance rules to ensure enterprise data is trusted, connected, accessible, and of the highest quality.
  • Define key metrics to track success or prioritize features.
  • Identify data integrity issues and define data quality improvements, establishing metrics for critical data tracking.
  • Establish data governance policies working with various business teams and data stewards, defining product metrics.
  • Define data access controls and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce data governance/standards utilizing expertise in Data analysis to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements definition to application architecture.
  • Independently lead projects and efforts, leveraging proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate and address challenges.

Requirements

  • 10 years of strong technical background in Data Analysis and Data Governance.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Microsoft Purview, or any Data Catalog cloud platform experience.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Metadata, Data Auditing, Data profiling, and Data Analysis.
  • Prior experience working in cross-functional teams within cloud computing engineering or related technical fields.
  • Experience in end-to-end product delivery, with a proven track record of driving feature delivery.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data migration, data conversion, and/or data integration routines and protocols.
  • Strong in writing SQL and NoSQL code.
  • Comfortable working with various source system databases or files in various formats.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to anticipate and proactively address challenges, leveraging technical depth in Data Analysis.
