About the position

The Cloud Data Architect will provide strategic recommendations for evolving cloud architecture, including hybrid, containerized, and edge solutions. This role involves evaluating cloud systems, monitoring service anomalies, and improving CI/CD pipelines to enhance security, performance, and availability in the MARS environment. The architect will also manage complex projects with agile teams and advocate for cloud services that align with MARS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategy and recommendations for evolving cloud architecture, including hybrid, containerized, and edge solutions.
• Provide budget estimates based on the MARS cloud roadmap.
• Monitor and identify cloud service anomalies.
• Evaluate cloud systems and provide feedback on performance and cost options.
• Evaluate and recommend strategies and tools to improve the MARS CI/CD pipeline.
• Support MARS edge and cross-domain solution development.
• Manage and oversee non-routine and complex projects with agile development teams.
• Provide strategy and recommendations for cloud providers and services for adoption in the MARS environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) in a relevant position.
• AWS certification as a solution architect is required.
• TOP SECRET clearance/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) eligibility with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
