About the position

The Cloud Data Engineering Manager at Deloitte is responsible for leading and managing complex technology engagements, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry. This role involves advising clients on best practices in data and analytics, overseeing solution design and implementation, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The manager will also mentor staff, contribute to business development, and maintain strong client relationships while leveraging advanced technologies to enhance organizational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on leading practices and technology/industry trends.
  • Build lasting relationships through day-to-day interactions with key client managers and staff.
  • Deliver solutions that align with clients' business strategies.
  • Present technical alternatives and recommendations based on client requirements.
  • Manage technical and functional teams to design, build, test, and implement enterprise applications.
  • Anticipate and resolve project risks and issues.
  • Monitor project progress and quality, tracking and reporting status.
  • Participate in sales pursuits and present proposals to clients.
  • Mentor and coach staff to help them achieve their career objectives.
  • Participate in recruiting and onboarding activities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant analytics technology consulting or industry experience.
  • 2+ years experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • 1+ years experience leading and managing complex technology engagements.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of emerging technologies such as Generative AI.
  • Experience with Azure, GCP, and/or AWS tools and services.
  • Ability to recommend Data Management processes and governance models.
  • Experience collaborating among team members across several geographies.
  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization.
