About the position

The Sr. Cloud Engineer - Enterprise Messaging role focuses on developing integration services using IBM MQ in AWS. This includes supporting all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), facilitating customer onboarding, and assisting with product enhancements and production support. The position also involves building the integrations services platform using Infrastructure as Code and requires collaboration with Architects, Developers/Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers across multiple teams in a rapidly evolving environment. Successful candidates will be organized, self-starters with excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working independently while building relationships and driving technical solutions from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop integration services using IBM MQ.
• Support all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Facilitate customer onboarding and assist with product enhancements and production support.
• Build the integrations services platform using Infrastructure as Code.
• Work cross-functionally with Architects, Developers/Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers.
• Lead efforts to establish, define, maintain, and communicate integration architecture guidelines, principles, standards, and best practices.
• Provide end-to-end support for solution integration, including designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting solutions.
• Custom develop monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Participate in defect and incident root cause analyses.
• Provide production support including on-call rotation.
• Maintain strong knowledge of high-availability, load-balancing, and failover configurations.
• Build solutions in accordance with Bank security policies that mitigate risk and increase efficiencies.
• Exercise judgment to escalate risk-based decisions appropriately.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of recent and related experience as an MQ Architect/Integration Engineer from Design through the Implementation of technical solutions.
• 1+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Gitlab, Packer, Ansible).
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including influence, collaboration, accountability, and critical thinking.
• Must be a U.S Citizen or a Green Card holder with intent to become a U.S Citizen.
