About the position

As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a crucial role in developing, managing, and securing a container platform tailored to meet client needs. This position involves architecting and deploying a platform that facilitates collaboration among developers, data scientists, and research institutions, leveraging your expertise in Kubernetes and microservices. You will utilize your DevOps experience to rapidly deploy and secure Kubernetes environments while implementing zero trust security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage container management software to address client challenges.
  • Architect and deploy a platform for collaboration among developers and data scientists.
  • Support developers and data scientists using Kubernetes and microservices architecture.
  • Rapidly deploy, manage, and secure CDC Kubernetes environments.
  • Implement zero trust security practices in multi-tenant environments.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with architecting, deploying, and securing applications on Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
  • 3+ years of experience using Terraform or CI/CD (IaC) tooling to deploy Azure or AWS services.
  • 3+ years of experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting for automation.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Functions.
  • Experience with enterprise security principles and enforcing them at scale.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts like virtual networks and security groups.
  • Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Prometheus applications.
  • Experience with log aggregation tools such as Splunk or Loki.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes security constructs.
  • Azure or AWS Cloud and HashiCorp certifications.
