About the position

The Cloud DevOps Engineer at FPT USA Corp is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modularized infrastructure and automations that support the software development lifecycle of client applications and systems. This role involves understanding customer technical needs, supporting implementation and integration, and advising on project costs and progress. The engineer will also automate and streamline the software build and deployment process to optimize for scalability, availability, and reliability of software releases, while participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modularized infrastructure and automations for client applications and systems.
• Understand customer technical needs and support implementation and integration.
• Advise on project costs and progress.
• Automate and streamline the software build and deployment process.
• Optimize software releases for scalability, availability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best code practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related position.
• 3 years of experience with cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS.
• 3 years of experience building custom virtual machine images using tools like Chef, Packer, Kitchen CI, and InSpec.
• 3 years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, including Terraform and ARM Template.
• 3 years of experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• 3 years of experience building continuous integration and deployment pipelines, including GitLab and Azure DevOps.
• 3 years of experience with automation scripting languages, including Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, and Batch.
