About the position

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you will play a crucial role in managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments. Your primary focus will be on ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution within these environments. You will apply basic principles, theories, and concepts, leveraging your limited industry knowledge to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity. More complex issues will be referred to higher levels, and you will work under direct supervision to ensure that all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. In this position, you will be responsible for the development of tools and processes that drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity. This includes automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across various environments. You will work with modern software development practices and integrate common cloud developer services to enhance operational efficiency. Your experience with scripting languages will be essential for automating processes, and you will utilize helm-based package deployments to streamline application management. You will also be tasked with developing cloud-native solutions, including Kubernetes and containerized workflows, while provisioning traditional VM host-based resources in a cloud environment. Your ability to create solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment will be vital, as will your knowledge of cloud design principles, including security, scalability, and performance. A TS/SCI clearance is required for this role, and you will be expected to maintain this clearance throughout your employment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer cloud environments to ensure continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in the development of tools and processes for DevOps or DevSecOps maturity.
  • Experience with modern software development practices and integrating common cloud developer services.
  • Experience automating processes with scripting languages.
  • Experience utilizing helm-based package deployments.
  • Experience developing cloud-native solutions, including Kubernetes and containerized workflows.
  • Experience provisioning traditional VM host-based resources in a cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud design principles, including security, scalability, and performance.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes clusters using self-hosted or managed service offerings.
  • Experience with AI/ML models and deployment approaches for AI/ML.
  • Experience with AI/ML cloud services and vector store infrastructure.
