About the position

The Cloud DevOps Engineer role focuses on creating and implementing cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs while leveraging the latest cloud technologies. The position involves improving client environments through cloud capabilities, informing strategy and design, and ensuring standards are met during the cloud migration process. The engineer will recommend tools and solutions based on research and collaborate with teams to address complex challenges in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and processes to enhance DevOps or DevSecOps maturity through automation.
  • Automate builds, regression testing, monitoring, and release processes across environments.
  • Integrate modern software development practices with cloud developer services.
  • Create cloud-native solutions, including Kubernetes and containerized workflows.
  • Provision traditional VM host-based resources in a cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with teams to solve complex problems in a cloud setting.
  • Research and recommend tools and solutions based on current environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps automation.
  • Experience with modern software development practices and cloud developer services.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for process automation.
  • Experience in developing cloud-native solutions, particularly with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in provisioning VM resources in cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud design principles, including security and scalability.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline issues.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML models and deployment approaches.
  • Experience with cloud tenant monitoring and cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience deploying public-facing applications with authentication.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Understanding of Cloud Networking best practices and IAM policies.
  • Security or Cyber Certifications.
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP Certifications.
