About the position

The Cloud DevOps Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure solutions that support the organization's applications and services. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure automation tools, as well as an understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to ensure reliable and efficient infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and developers to design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure diagrams, documentation, and standards.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain infrastructure components on PCF, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure platforms.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline infrastructure management tasks.
• Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure performance, cost, and security.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and address infrastructure issues.
• Embrace SRE principles and contribute to a culture of reliability and operational excellence.
• Work closely with Run/Infra teams to improve infrastructure reliability and performance.
• Leverage cloud-native technologies and services to build scalable and resilient infrastructure.
• Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and operations.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud computing, or DevOps.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• In-depth knowledge of PCF, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure platforms.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for learning and staying up to date with emerging technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Platform Certified Professional Cloud Architect).
