About the position

The Cloud/DevOps Intern position at Gordon Food Service offers a 12-week paid internship program designed for university students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Interns will gain firsthand experience by working alongside industry professionals in the Gordon Technology Services (GTS) team, contributing to meaningful projects that impact the food service industry. The role includes mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities, allowing interns to explore various career paths within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Gordon Technology Services (GTS) team to build and support hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Assist with the development of cloud-ready application architectures.
• Help automate integration and deployment activities.
• Analyze department processes and make recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in quality monitoring and process improvement activities.
• Engage in mentorship and networking opportunities within the organization.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Experience in Source Code Management using Gitlab.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code / Automation using Terraform and Gitlab pipelines.
• Development experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with Cloud Networking Concepts, preferably GCP.
