About the position

The Cloud DevOps Lead at Virtusa is a senior-level position focused on leading DevOps and platform engineering efforts within the financial services technology sector. The role requires extensive experience in cloud environments, microservices architecture, and CI/CD processes, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for platform setup, configuration, and management, ensuring the deployment and operation of applications in a secure and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead platform engineering tasks including setup and configuration of OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Manage CI/CD processes using tools like Git, Jenkins, Gradle, and Maven.
  • Tune Java/Spring Boot applications for optimal performance.
  • Oversee disaster recovery architecture and configuration.
  • Administer Kafka setup and clustering.
  • Implement and manage ELK stack for logging and monitoring.
  • Set up and administer PostgreSQL and graph databases like Neo4j.
  • Configure and manage cloud services across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Ensure security scanning and remediation processes are in place.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services technology industry.
  • Strong familiarity with Microservices architecture configurations and deployments.
  • Expert knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Sonar.
  • Hands-on experience with Unix scripting, Terraform, and Python scripting.
  • Proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with disaster recovery architecture and setup.
  • Knowledge of Kafka setup and administration.
  • Experience with ELK stack setup and administration.
  • Proficient in PostgreSQL setup and administration.
  • Experience with graph databases like Neo4j.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Netflix OSS or similar microservices architecture setups.
  • Knowledge of firewall setup and configuration.
  • Experience with application ethical hacking.
  • Familiarity with enterprise network setup and management.
