About the position

Peraton is seeking a Cloud/DevOps Systems Engineer to support the Department of State's Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission program. This role involves integrating cybersecurity solutions into the infrastructure, managing Azure cloud services, and ensuring the security of a global cyber infrastructure. The position requires a strong background in cloud administration, systems engineering, and cybersecurity operations, with a focus on leveraging tools like Cribl, Azure, and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Cribl into the infrastructure while leveraging Azure cloud services and ServiceNow.
• Manage and optimize Azure resources including storage, networking, compute, and Identity Access Management (IAM).
• Architect, deploy, and optimize Azure cloud solutions, implementing security best practices and compliance protocols.
• Modify and work with Terraform modules for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
• Lead migration projects of on-premises applications and servers to Azure, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Utilize GIT for version control and implement automation using Ansible and Azure DevOps.
• Apply basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell and Bash for process automation.
• Demonstrate experience in cybersecurity operations, specifically with Cribl, Azure, and ServiceNow.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain/maintain one of the following certifications: CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP, Security + CE, CySA+, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev.
• Experience with Cribl, Azure Cloud, ServiceNow, and Terraform.
• Systems administration or systems engineering experience with exposure to Cisco, VMware, clusters, and server management.
• Experience with version control and automation.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration.
• Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
