About the position

Our client in the Fintech industry is seeking a skilled Cloud DevSecOps Engineer IV to support the transition of applications to SaaS and Cloud platforms. This role is crucial in developing autonomous Dev/Sec Ops pipelines, managing application upgrades, and performing patching tasks. The engineer will be responsible for developing and testing Ansible playbooks, Terraform scripts, and Packer scripts, as well as conducting unit and infrastructure tests to ensure the reliability and security of cloud applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevSecOps, with a focus on cloud technologies and automation tools, and will be expected to work collaboratively in a hybrid remote environment, attending the office one day a week in locations such as Nashville, Birmingham, Atlanta, or Charlotte.

Responsibilities

  • Develop autonomous Dev/Sec Ops pipelines for cloud applications.
  • Manage application upgrades and perform patching tasks.
  • Develop and test Ansible playbooks, Terraform scripts, and Packer scripts.
  • Conduct unit and infrastructure tests to ensure application reliability and security.
  • Implement CI/CD pipeline build-out and deployment using tools like Harness.
  • Apply Chaos Engineering principles to enhance application resilience.
  • Deploy cloud-native applications using OpenShift or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Utilize AWS and Azure cloud services effectively.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of DevSecOps experience.
  • Experience with Secrets management solutions, specifically Hashicorp Vault.
  • Proficient in CI/CD pipeline build-out and deployment, particularly with Harness.
  • Knowledge of Chaos Engineering principles.
  • Experience deploying cloud-native applications, preferably with OpenShift or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Strong AWS and Azure cloud experience.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Experience with Git, Ansible, Terraform, and ServiceNow.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with C#.NET programming.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to learn new tools quickly.
