About the position

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Falconwood, Inc. will provide critical support for the BlackPearl solution within the US Navy. This role focuses on engineering tasks aimed at enhancing and expanding the capabilities of the existing pipeline service, ensuring robust cloud infrastructure and security practices are in place.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure, evaluating legacy applications for migration to cloud services.
• Deploy, configure, secure, and monitor various DevOps services including ContainerIQ, Argo, Flux, Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Sonarqube, JFrog, Anchore, deepdefence, Open Policy Agen, Falco, Sysdig, Rancher, Prometheus, Istio.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to identify optimal solutions.
• Review and develop hybrid multi-cloud solution architectures, integrating platforms like ServiceNow and Cloud Control Tower into Azure services.
• Implement DevSecOps processes and CI/CD tools to automate software delivery on-premise or in the cloud.
• Develop automated security policy configurations for standardization of new environments using configuration management and provisioning software.
• Assist with the implementation of test automation strategies and processes.
• Implement version control and artifact repositories.
• Create engineering documentation and procedures for tool implementation.
• Participate in Agile processes to create user stories and assist in developing Sprints and Releases.
• Work with support contractors to complete project-related tasks, including policy development and architecture reviews.
• Participate in creating cost guardrails and processes that promote cost ownership and efficiency.
• Engage in Falconwood's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation in an enterprise environment.
• Proven track record of developing complex cloud migration projects with competing priorities.
• Experience working with technical teams, stakeholders, and industry partners to manage dependencies and prioritize projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Minimum SECRET clearance and security certification such as Sec+ or CISSP.
• In-depth understanding of DevOps principles.
• Knowledge of software development, scripting languages, and experience designing web services in the cloud.
• Experience in Linux shell programming/scripting.
• 3+ years of experience administering DevOps tools like ContainerIQ, Argo, Flux, Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Sonarqube, JFrog, Anchore, deepdefence, Open Policy Agen, Falco, Sysdig, Rancher, Prometheus, Istio.
• 3+ years of experience with provisioning and configuration management tools like Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, Salt Stack, Puppet.
• 2+ years of experience with containers and microservices.
• 5+ years of experience designing and administering Dev/Test environments.
• 5+ years of experience deploying services and systems into a production environment.
• 5+ years of providing SME level support for an Enterprise Service Desk department.
• Hands-on experience in Software Configuration Management, Environment Management, Testing Lifecycle Management, Release Automation, Workflow Management, Defect Management, and Cloud Migration.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
• Cloud DevOps or Architect certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Marine Corp and DON enterprise architectures is a plus.
