About the position

As a Cloud Developer Associate in the Platform and Infrastructure team at Google, you will provide technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. Your role will involve automating infrastructure provisioning, designing cloud enterprise solutions, and ensuring customers have the best experience in migrating and modernizing applications in GCP. You will also collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to enhance Google Cloud products and features.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Design and implement cloud-based technical architectures and migration approaches.
• Serve as a technical advisor and troubleshoot technical challenges for customers.
• Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
• Travel up to 30% for in-region meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.
• Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
• Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C+) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.
• Experience building prototypes or applications.
• Experience with GCP techniques such as prompt development, dual encoders, and embedding vectors.
• Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
