About the position

The CI/CD Cloud Developer and Cloud Engineer roles focus on migrating existing data pipelines and applications to a newly built AWS infrastructure. These positions require expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and resiliency in application deployments. The roles involve collaboration with various stakeholders and require proficiency in both cloud environments, particularly in deploying and managing serverless technologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate existing pipelines to a newly built AWS infrastructure.
  • Create configurations referring to the existing architecture and design.
  • Migrate all logs stored in the repository.
  • Develop AWS Lambdas, Step Functions, and S3 ECS using Python to construct data pipelines.
  • Write deployment code (Infrastructure as Code) for AWS services.
  • Integrate the code deployment pipeline with GitHub using branch automations.
  • Utilize GitHub features for documentation purposes.
  • Write code for data transformations using Python packages such as Pandas and Numpy.
  • Collaborate effectively with GE resources, including Product Owners, Architects, and Developers.
  • Deploy infrastructure with Terraform for major IT infrastructure deployments.
  • Document tasks and timelines for all required activities and milestones.
  • Adjust identity integrations with tools to work with Aerospace SSO.
  • Ensure CI/CD pipeline has appropriate scans.
  • Document architecture with relevant account details.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending architecture and design requirement documents.
  • Expertise in developing AWS Lambdas, Step Functions, and S3 ECS using Python.
  • Experience in writing deployment code for AWS services using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience in working within a multi-developer environment, such as GitHub.
  • Proficiency in working with AWS and Azure serverless technologies.
  • Competence in utilizing GitHub features for documentation.
  • Proficiency in writing code for data transformations using Python packages.
  • Experience with Azure services such as Azure Blob Storage, Azure Automation, EventHub, and DataPipeline.
  • Experience in operating within an Agile Kanban work environment.
  • Strong AWS and Azure Cloud experience is required.
  • IAM / SSO experience is required, particularly with AWS IAM Identity Center and AWS Directory Service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and SAML.
  • AWS and/or Azure Certifications are highly desired.
