About the position

The Cloud Developer I position at Amentum is integral to maintaining and enhancing a mission-critical application hosted in the AWS Gov Cloud. This role involves working within a fully cloud-based team that emphasizes automation through a CI/CD pipeline, focusing on agile methodologies to manage projects and tasks effectively. The developer will collaborate closely with cloud engineers and developers to implement cutting-edge cloud technologies and support national security missions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve a mission-critical application in the AWS Gov Cloud.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines for automation of tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to plan projects and tasks in 2-week sprints.
• Manage specific tasks and ensure timely implementation of solutions and schedules.
• Track and report on the accomplishments of assigned work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing innovative technical solutions.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Amazon, Microsoft, or Google cloud solutions.
• Experience in architecting and migrating on-premises applications to a cloud platform.
• Proficiency in software design and implementation in Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience in Java Development.
• Experience in Python Scripting.
• Experience working with a CI/CD Pipeline.
