About the position

The Cloud Developer I position at Amentum is integral to a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a mission-critical application hosted in the AWS Gov Cloud. This role emphasizes automation through a CI/CD pipeline and involves collaboration within an agile framework to deliver innovative cloud solutions that support national security missions. The developer will work under the guidance of project management to ensure timely implementation of solutions and effective tracking of project progress.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve a mission-critical application in the AWS Gov Cloud.
• Automate tasks utilizing a CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers and developers to complete projects.
• Manage specific tasks and ensure timely implementation of solutions and schedules.
• Track and report on the accomplishments of assigned work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing technical solutions.
• Minimum 1 year experience with cloud solutions (Amazon, Microsoft, or Google).
• Experience architecting and migrating on-premises applications to a cloud platform.
• Experience in software design and implementation in Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience in Java Development.
• Experience in Python Scripting.
• Experience working with a CI/CD Pipeline.
