About the position

The Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Developer role at Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services involves providing technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. The position focuses on helping businesses transform and evolve through the use of Google's technology, ensuring secure foundational cloud implementations, and optimizing applications in GCP. The role requires collaboration with Product Management and Engineering to enhance Google Cloud products and features, ultimately aiming to deliver excellence in customer experience and cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure, solving complex cloud platform challenges.
• Work with customers to design and implement cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.
• Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.
• Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C, or C+) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience building prototypes or applications.
• Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Knowledge of standard IT security practices, including identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.
• Knowledge of GCP techniques such as dual encoders and embedding vectors.

Benefits

• Base salary range of $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
