About the position

The Cloud Developer - II position is focused on designing and developing cloud-native applications to meet the business needs of STAR. The role involves leveraging extensive experience in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to create high-quality technology solutions. The developer will work on a suite of web applications, ensuring robust implementation and support of Java-based components and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native Java-based applications.
• Implement and maintain Java-based components and interfaces.
• Support the development team in achieving desired outcomes through various coding methodologies and testing practices.
• Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform scripts.
• Assist with setting up CI/CD pipelines and release management using Gitlab.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions using cloud technology.
• Proven experience in designing and building cloud-native Java-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with Java EE platforms and RESTful Web Services, XML, and JSON.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• At least 5 years of AWS cloud experience with proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, and SQS.
• Experience in developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Proven experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, Python, and NoSQL databases, preferably DynamoDB.
• Certification in AWS (optional but preferred) - AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
