About the position

The Cloud Developer IV is responsible for delivering technical solutions by building and unit testing components that support cloud architecture and applications. This role involves close collaboration with system owners, end users, and the development team to understand functional requirements and create effective solutions utilizing various tools within the Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical efforts in data collection, structuring, visualization, and orchestration to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, development, implementation, and deployment.
  • Contribute to front-end and back-end development processes.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based applications on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Analyze user needs and design software for client use, developing code and software applications based on user specifications.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors or improve performance.
  • Monitor and assist with software testing and validation procedures and programming.
  • Implement best practices for cloud architecture, continuous integration, and deployment.
  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced data collection and ingestion frameworks using Pixel hardware with Doc AI.
  • Design and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and storage solutions with BigQuery, optimizing for efficiency and cost.
  • Design and implement robust API management and data orchestration strategies using Apigee.
  • Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of dynamic, interactive dashboards and advanced data visualizations in Looker.
  • Create detailed program and application documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Computer Programming, or related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of six to eight (6-8) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II level required, including CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, SSCP.

  • Preference given to DoD or Federal Government industry experience.
