About the position

The Cloud Developer IV will deliver technical solutions for the agency by building and unit testing custom components that support cloud architecture and applications. This role requires close collaboration with system owners, end users, and the development team to understand functional requirements and create effective solutions utilizing Pixel hardware with Doc AI, BigQuery, Looker, Apigee, and other tools within the Google Cloud Platform. The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property. As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act. In this position, the developer will lead technical efforts in data collection, structuring, visualization, and orchestration to inform strategic decision-making. The role encompasses participation in all aspects of agile software development, including design, development, implementation, and deployment. The developer will contribute to both front-end and back-end development processes, designing, developing, and deploying scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based applications on the Google Cloud Platform. The position also involves analyzing user needs and designing software for client use, modifying existing software to correct errors or improve performance, and monitoring software testing and validation procedures. The Cloud Developer IV will implement best practices for cloud architecture, continuous integration, and deployment. They will lead the design and implementation of advanced data collection and ingestion frameworks using Pixel hardware with Doc AI, ensuring the capture of high-quality, actionable data. The developer will also design and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and storage solutions with BigQuery, optimizing for efficiency and cost. Additionally, they will design and implement robust API management and data orchestration strategies using Apigee, enhancing data connectivity and integration with diverse systems, both internal and external. The role includes overseeing the creation and maintenance of dynamic, interactive dashboards and advanced data visualizations in Looker to empower business units with real-time insights.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II level required (e.g., CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, SSCP).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Computer Programming, or related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of six to eight (6-8) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Familiarity with DBMS technology to assist in database design, development, and management.
  • Preference given to DoD or Federal Government industry experience.
