About the position

The Cloud Developer, Lead position is a senior role focused on architecting and implementing cloud solutions for Department of Justice clients. The role requires extensive experience in technology solutions development, particularly in cloud computing, and involves mentoring junior developers. The successful candidate will lead projects that transform client technology usage, including cloud migration and modernization of legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer IT needs and future goals into architectural solutions.
• Manage the implementation of cloud solutions and oversee technical integration projects.
• Mentor junior developers to help them grow into solutions architects.
• Identify opportunities for growth within the digital solutions business.
• Develop secure, scalable, and robust architectures for cloud applications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in developing technology solutions including operations, engineering, and applications development.
• 8+ years of experience with architecture and engineering with a major cloud service provider, particularly AWS.
• Experience in architecting and deploying cloud solutions within government settings.
• Proven ability to manage technical implementation and integration projects.
• Knowledge of modern programming languages and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work in customer-facing roles and public speaking.
• Top Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Microservice architectures and Cloud Native stacks like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience developing enterprise-level CI/CD pipelines.
• AWS Solution Architecture Certification, Azure Architecture Certification, or GCP Architecture Certification.
