About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a Mid-level Cloud Developer to support government customers by designing and implementing cloud service delivery models. This role involves developing cloud applications, migrating existing applications to the cloud, and ensuring a secure and efficient cloud environment. Responsibilities

• Develop cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks for PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS.
• Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
• Analyze applications to recommend migration and deployment strategies for cloud environments.
• Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses of cloud services.
• Develop and implement cloud applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
• Debug cloud stacks and manage policies for cloud service usage.
• Establish a secure cloud environment and ensure appropriate availability/uptime design.
• Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in cloud development or related field.
• Expertise in multiple complex work assignments requiring originality and innovation.
• Ability to operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodologies and presenting solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Terraform
• Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation
• Knowledge of Databricks and Lakehouse Architecture
• Experience with AWS OpenSearch
• Familiarity with Splunk
• Proficiency in Oracle/SQL
• Experience with Python
• Knowledge of Microsoft VBA
