About the position

The Cloud Developer, Mid position involves creating and enhancing cloud-based technical architectures to support law enforcement operations. The role requires expertise in cloud technologies to develop solutions that address complex challenges faced by clients. The developer will work closely with application teams to support mission-critical operations and ensure standards are met during the cloud migration process. This position offers an opportunity to utilize cutting-edge technologies and broaden skills in areas such as Terraform and Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities

• Support application teams and enhance a large cloud-based application for mission-critical operations.
• Develop cloud-based solutions to improve law enforcement capabilities.
• Lead a team to help clients overcome challenges in the cloud.
• Research and recommend tools and solutions based on the current environment.
• Inform strategy and design to ensure standards are met during cloud migration.

Requirements

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux and command-line interfaces, including bash.
• Experience programming in Python and Java.
• Experience designing and automating the provisioning of cloud resources using infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform or Vault.
• Experience with platform as a service technologies, including Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of network technologies, including DNS, load balancing, and TLS.
• Top Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience developing and deploying enterprise cloud-native solutions, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

• Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
• Experience troubleshooting GitLab CI/CD pipeline issues.
• Experience with containerization tools, including Docker.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience applying cloud security principles.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Master's degree.
