About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Developer to join our Professional Services team, specifically focusing on the U.S. Intelligence Community. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in cloud computing to help these agencies implement innovative solutions and address complex technical challenges. You will be at the forefront of utilizing the latest cloud technologies, guiding clients through application architectures and integration strategies, and ensuring that projects are set on a path to success. Your consultative and leadership skills will be essential in launching projects that meet the unique needs of our clients. As a member of the AWS Professional Services team, you will engage in a variety of projects that draw on collective experiences from across the AWS customer base. Our team is dedicated to delivering strong customer success and collaborates closely with product and service teams to ensure that the right solutions are delivered. You will be part of a dynamic and creative environment where you will not only contribute to deep architecture discussions but also participate in educational and design exercises aimed at creating innovative solutions built on AWS. This position requires a current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and you will need to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which you perform AWS work. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with Intelligence Community customers, enjoys educating and training others, and has a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions. You will be expected to keep your technical skills sharp and develop new ones, making significant contributions to the team and our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Help U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions.
  • Solve technical problems using the latest cloud computing technologies.
  • Educate and train clients on application architectures and integration approaches.
  • Collaborate with AWS product and service teams to deliver the right solutions.
  • Participate in deep-dive education and design exercises to create innovative solutions on AWS.
  • Maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
  • Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming Legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
