About the position

As a Cloud Developer within the ProServe Variable WWPS team at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in assisting U.S. Intelligence Community agencies in implementing innovative cloud computing solutions. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about leveraging the latest cloud technologies to solve complex technical problems. You will be responsible for guiding these agencies in understanding application architectures and integration approaches, utilizing your consultative and leadership skills to ensure project success. Your expertise in security best practices for applications, servers, and networks will be crucial in this role. In this dynamic environment, you will collaborate with some of the brightest engineers in the industry, contributing to a wide variety of projects that aim to deliver exceptional results for our customers. The Professional Services team at AWS is dedicated to providing a wealth of experience from across the AWS customer base, ensuring that we are always focused on achieving strong success for our clients. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and you will need to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which you perform AWS work. Responsibilities

  • Assist U.S. Intelligence Community agencies in implementing cloud computing solutions.
  • Guide customers in understanding application architectures and integration approaches.
  • Utilize consultative and leadership skills to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with AWS product and service teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Engage in deep-dive education and design exercises to create cloud solutions.
  • Educate and train Intelligence Community customers on cloud technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
  • Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
