About the position

As a Cloud Developer within the ProServe Variable WWPS team at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in assisting U.S. Intelligence Community agencies in implementing innovative cloud computing solutions. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about leveraging the latest cloud technologies to solve complex technical problems. You will be responsible for guiding these agencies in understanding application architectures and integration approaches, utilizing your consultative and leadership skills to ensure project success. Your familiarity with security best practices for applications, servers, and networks will be crucial in this role. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with a diverse range of customers, providing them with the technical expertise needed to design and build cloud solutions tailored to their unique challenges. You will engage in various projects that require a deep understanding of large-scale computing solutions, and your past experience as a systems or support engineer will be invaluable. The role emphasizes continuous learning and skill development, allowing you to contribute to deep architecture discussions and participate in design exercises that foster innovation on the AWS platform. Responsibilities

  • Assist U.S. Intelligence Community agencies in implementing cloud computing solutions.
  • Guide customers in understanding application architectures and integration approaches.
  • Utilize consultative and leadership skills to ensure project success.
  • Engage in deep-dive education and design exercises to create innovative solutions on AWS.
  • Collaborate with AWS teams to deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
  • Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming Legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
