About the position

As a Cloud Developer within the ProServe Variable WWPS team at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in assisting U.S. Intelligence Community agencies in implementing innovative cloud computing solutions. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about leveraging the latest cloud technologies to solve complex technical problems. You will be responsible for guiding these agencies in understanding application architectures and integration approaches, utilizing your consultative and leadership skills to ensure project success. Your expertise in security best practices for applications, servers, and networks will be crucial in this role. In this dynamic environment, you will collaborate with a diverse team of highly talented technical consultants, contributing to a wide variety of projects that aim to deliver exceptional results for our customers. The AWS Professional Services team is dedicated to providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base, ensuring that we meet and exceed customer expectations. You will have the opportunity to work closely with product and service teams within AWS, driving feature innovation based on customer needs and feedback. Your role will not only involve technical implementation but also educating and training clients on cloud solutions tailored to their unique challenges. You will engage in deep architecture discussions and design exercises, allowing you to continuously hone your technical skills while contributing to the development of innovative solutions built on AWS. This position requires a proactive approach, creativity, and a strong desire to make a significant impact in the cloud computing landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Assist U.S. Intelligence Community agencies in implementing cloud computing solutions.
  • Educate and train clients on application architectures and integration approaches.
  • Collaborate with AWS teams to deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovation.
  • Participate in deep-dive education and design exercises to create innovative solutions.
  • Maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
  • 1+ years of software development tools and methodologies.
  • 3+ years working with Python.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
  • Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming Legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware and storage.
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA and FedRAMP.
