About the position

Ignite Digital Services is seeking a Cloud Developer to lead the development of data tracts and containerization within the Government cloud infrastructure. This role involves working with a motivated team to integrate advanced technologies and ensure the efficient deployment and management of applications in a cloud environment, specifically supporting the Department of Navy's fleet operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement cloud-based data tracts to optimize data storage, retrieval, and management.
  • Maintain containerization strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with NIWC Atlantic and Government sponsor teams to ensure the smooth integration and deployment of applications.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines for the deployment of containerized applications.
  • Provide acceptance testing for system integration across multiple cloud domains.
  • Ensure security and compliance best practices are implemented across cloud environments at various impact levels i.e. IL2-7.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, data tracts, and containerized applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in technology solutions development, including operations, engineering, networking, infrastructure, or database architecture.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on data management and containerization.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of data management practices and technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., BitBucket, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Government Risk Management Framework processes.
  • Familiarity with Government Impact Levels - IL2 - IL7.
