About the position

The Cloud Developer at Glow Networks is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, focusing on building scalable SaaS products using Java and Spring Boot. This role requires a deep understanding of microservices architecture and cloud technologies, as well as strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture and underlying system design for scalable platforms.
• Work with a team of engineers to build cloud vendor agnostic SaaS products.
• Produce software artifacts and write high-quality code for production.
• Design new workflows, identify gaps, and build efficient flows.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define problems and explore solutions.
• Solicit and provide feedback to enhance design and implementation processes.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software development, particularly with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles and processes.
• Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving.
• Experience with building cloud vendor agnostic SaaS products.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot microservices, and Kubernetes.
• In-depth understanding of microservices architectures and cloud technologies (public/private/hybrid).
• Experience with building APIs/services using message queues like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and NATS.
• Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis and Memcached.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with OAuth, OpenID, and SAML based authentication.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with geographically diversified teams.
