About the position

The Cloud Developer will support application development and customer service within the Midstream Business System Applications IT portfolio at Phillips 66. This role is crucial for enhancing the organization's digital capabilities through strategic initiatives and projects, requiring a customer-first approach, agility, and innovative thinking. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the ability to simplify complex technologies, contributing to the team's success in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing applications across the Midstream Business Solutions organization.
• Supporting continued advancements across the team (e.g. cloud architecture, security, knowledge sharing, monitoring, and automation).
• Working with project teams, business analysts, enterprise architects, database administrators, and peer developers to evaluate business problems.
• Supporting development and team process best practices.
• Assuring solutions are designed and developed to meet or exceed audit requirements.
• Leveraging agile development methodologies and processes.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field
• 2 or more years of IT experience
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as .NET, Java, C#, Python
• Proficiency in modern database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL or ORACLE
• Must have a broad, technical IT background with strong analytical skills and business acumen.

• Experience with applications on cloud platforms - AWS and Azure
• Experience with AI and ML
• Experience with automation and process optimization
• Experience with cloud native application logging, monitoring, alerting, etc.
• Knowledge of standard support concepts, practices, and procedures related to cloud technologies
• Planning and organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
