About the position

The Cloud Developer role at GDIT involves designing, implementing, and managing hybrid cloud financial management tools for the CMS Cloud team. This position focuses on executing strategies for tool delivery while ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud tools. The role requires collaboration with various teams to optimize and manage cloud applications effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CMS hybrid cloud financial management tools.
• Execute strategies for tool delivery ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Work with AWS Storage and Analytics services such as S3, Glue, Athena, and QuickSight.
• Configure AWS cloud monitoring and alerts for resource availability.
• Analyze customer requirements and provide technical expertise on cloud computing techniques.
• Support the integrity and security of systems.
• Maintain awareness of new and existing cloud services and features.

Requirements

• 1+ years of related experience in cloud development.
• Experience with multiple AWS services including Lambda and S3.
• Hands-on experience with building serverless applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS Certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Athena, Glue, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• Experience with task tracking and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.
