About the position

PayPal is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to design, implement, and manage its Public Cloud Infrastructure platform. This role involves collaborating with internal customers to enable their Public Cloud integrations and working with cutting-edge technologies in GCP and AWS. The developer will utilize programming languages such as GoLang and Python to create automated solutions for managing the infrastructure, ensuring a seamless experience for internal engineering teams as they migrate to the Public Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage PayPal's Public Cloud Infrastructure platform.
• Collaborate with internal customers to enable their Public Cloud integrations.
• Utilize GoLang, Python, and scripting to develop automated solutions for cloud infrastructure management.
• Work with cloud infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and Puppet.
• Support Kubernetes platforms such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
• Triage issues in the Public Cloud environment, analyze root causes, and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and product managers across various locations.
• Drive software solutions from design through to release, ensuring high-quality software analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a hands-on Cloud Developer/Engineer.
• Knowledge of Public Cloud technologies and tools for building scalable solutions in GCP/AWS.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and partner with teams to enhance user experience in Public Cloud.
• A BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
