About the position

GDIT is seeking a Cloud Developer who holds an active secret clearance. This position will support a US Air Force program that plays a significant role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. The primary responsibility of the Cloud Developer will be to develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution that integrates the program's complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities. This solution will be made available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program's lifecycle. The culmination of this effort will be an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, which will be instantiated virtually on the Government's network infrastructure and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development. As a Cloud Support Engineer at GDIT, you will deliver simple solutions to complex problems. This vital role will serve as Tier 2 Support for end users and administrators within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) System. The Cloud Developer will be responsible for user account maintenance, end-user software installation and support (for Windows Desktops, Linux Instances, and Workspaces), security group maintenance, instance deployment and bootstrapping, and executing CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible playbooks. Additionally, the role involves security compliance evaluation, triage, resolution, and dissemination, as well as developing and executing onsite monitoring checklists and tools. You will also provide product deployment support for execution teams, manage user provisioning, and troubleshoot user connectivity issues.

  • User connectivity troubleshooting
  • User access requests for defined roles
  • Initial triage/escalation for inbound Service Requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or additional years of experience
  • A minimum of 2+ years in systems administration for hybrid/cloud/on-prem environments with Linux and Windows servers
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture
  • Comfortability using Linux command line
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification (such as CompTIA Security + CE, CISSP, etc)
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher, with ability to upgrade/maintain a Top Secret Clearance

Nice-to-haves

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Certified in AWS (such as Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or Solutions Architect Professional certification)
