About the position

The Cloud Developer position at Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) involves working on the design and development of a suite of web applications for a premier financial services client. This hybrid role requires an experienced Cloud Engineer to develop, implement, maintain, and support Java-based components and interfaces, utilizing various coding methodologies and tools to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a suite of web applications.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and support Java-based components and interfaces.
  • Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform scripts.
  • Assist with setting up CI/CD pipeline and release management using Gitlab code repository and Gitlab CI.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality technology solutions using cloud technology.
  • Proven experience in designing and building cloud-native Java-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
  • Experience working with RESTful Web Services, XML, and JSON.
  • Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
  • Profound insight of Java and JEE internals.
  • At least 5 years of AWS cloud experience.
  • Proficient in AWS services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, and SQS.
  • Experience in developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
  • Proven experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, Python, and NoSQL databases, preferably DynamoDB.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS Certified Developer Associate (optional, but preferred)
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate (optional, but preferred)
