About the position

PayPal is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to design, implement, and manage its Public Cloud Infrastructure platform. This role involves collaborating with internal customers to enable their Public Cloud integrations and working with cutting-edge technologies in GCP and AWS. The developer will utilize programming languages such as GoLang and Python to create automated solutions for managing the infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement PayPal's Public Cloud Infrastructure platform.
• Work with internal customers to enable their Public Cloud integrations.
• Utilize GoLang, Python, and scripting to develop automated solutions.
• Support Cloud infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and Puppet.
• Manage Kubernetes platforms such as GKE and EKS for internal customers.
• Triage issues in the Public Cloud environment and analyze root causes.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and product managers globally.
• Drive software solutions from design to release phase.
• Perform software analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Developer/Engineer.
• Knowledge of Public Cloud technologies and tools for scalable solutions in GCP/AWS.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and partner with teams for better user experience.
• BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
