About the position

The Cloud Development Engineer role focuses on providing day two support for cloud infrastructure, primarily in Azure and Google Cloud Platform. This position requires a blend of cloud experience, systems engineering, automation engineering, software development, platform engineering, and systems design to ensure the effective operation and integration of cloud services. The engineer will also be responsible for creating and maintaining cloud-based learning paths and reference applications to support technology-based learning initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide day two support for cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain cloud scenario-based learning paths for various roles.
• Create reference applications and materials to support learning paths.
• Ensure critical application support in multi-region architectures.
• Utilize cloud observability tools to monitor and enhance cloud performance.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices for efficient cloud management.

Requirements

• Cloud experience, particularly with Azure and AKS, and secondary experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in systems engineering, including virtual networking and containers.
• Proficiency in automation engineering and business process engineering.
• Software development experience, particularly in microservices architecture and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud resiliency and critical application support.
