About the position

The Cloud DevOps Engineer at Cognizant Technology Solutions is responsible for driving digital transformation through cloud infrastructure and security services. This role involves modernizing clients' technology and operational processes to meet the evolving demands of the digital era, utilizing a consultative approach to enhance business performance and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Implement configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Utilize cloud platforms, particularly GCP, to support infrastructure modernization.
• Work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Write and maintain scripts in languages such as Python and Bash.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps or systems engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically GCP.
• Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes GKE).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud services.
