About the position

The Cloud Efficiency & Optimization/Integration Engineer II is responsible for optimizing integration services within a complex AWS-based Marketplace system. This role focuses on analyzing, designing, and implementing cloud architecture frameworks that align with organizational goals, ensuring seamless integration of numerous APIs and services. The engineer will enhance efficiency, security, and scalability across cloud environments while adhering to compliance standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integration strategies aligned with cloud infrastructure goals
  • Analyze and design architectures for optimized integration
  • Collaborate on information requirements for smooth system transitions
  • Lead integration efforts for new services, applications, and APIs within AWS
  • Troubleshoot workflows and recommend optimizations
  • Implement cloud automation using AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, and similar tools
  • Monitor performance metrics to optimize systems
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless system integration
  • Facilitate communication across project stakeholders
  • Align integration efforts with project timelines and objectives
  • Conduct security assessments and ensure adherence to compliance standards
  • Align integration solutions with security best practices
  • Maintain governance in security protocols
  • Conduct reviews of cloud architecture for future enhancements
  • Identify emerging technologies to improve system scalability
  • Document integration processes and architectural designs
  • Provide reports on optimization efforts and vendor contributions
  • Offer technical leadership during architectural discussions
  • Train team members on integration and cloud strategies
  • Plan for future cloud capabilities and expansions
  • Assist in budget planning for cloud initiatives

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant job experience
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience
  • Cloud architecture design (AWS, Azure) experience
  • Data analysis and performance monitoring experience
  • Vendor management and collaboration experience
  • System integration and troubleshooting experience
  • Compliance with open systems standards experience
  • Documentation of architectural designs and processes experience
  • Workflow analysis and optimization experience
  • Security assessment and risk management experience
  • Project management principles experience
  • Resource allocation and budget/cost management (including Cloud Expenditure) experience
  • Emerging technology evaluation experience
