About the position

The Cloud Efficiency & Optimization/Integration Engineer III is a senior-level role focused on enhancing the performance and efficiency of integration services for a government agency's public-facing Marketplace hosted on AWS cloud infrastructure. This position involves analyzing, planning, designing, and implementing a structural framework that aligns IT strategies with the agency's mission and goals, ensuring seamless operations and maximum efficiency across multiple systems and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the performance and efficiency of integration services for the government agency's Marketplace.
  • Analyze, plan, design, and implement a structural framework for IT strategies.
  • Collaborate with multiple vendors to optimize the integration of web services and applications.
  • Develop and execute integration strategies that align with the agency's mission.
  • Lead the integration of new services, applications, and APIs into the AWS infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot workflow and organizational issues to optimize performance.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using AWS tools to streamline deployments and monitoring.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless integration of services.
  • Conduct security assessments to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Lead change management efforts for new cloud technologies and integration processes.
  • Document architectural designs and integration methodologies for compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership and develop training materials for junior engineers.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant job experience is required.
  • 14+ years of overall IT experience is required.
  • Cloud architecture design (AWS, Azure) experience.
  • Data analysis and performance monitoring experience.
  • Vendor management and collaboration experience.
  • System integration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Compliance with open systems standards experience.
  • Documentation of architectural designs and processes experience.
  • Workflow analysis and optimization experience.
  • Security assessment and risk management experience.
  • Project management principles experience.
  • Resource allocation and budget/cost management experience.
  • Emerging technology evaluation experience.
