About the position

As a Cloud End User Technology Engineer at OdysseyRe, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the desktop infrastructure that supports our global workforce. This role focuses on enhancing remote work capabilities, troubleshooting service disruptions, managing end-user computing devices, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards. Your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency and user experience across various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Enhancing remote work capabilities by empowering users with necessary tools and technologies.
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing service disruptions to determine root causes and develop solutions.
  • Managing end user computing devices, including OS and third-party patching.
  • Implementing CIS critical security controls and access policies.
  • Designing and implementing scalable solutions that adapt to changing business needs.
  • Staying ahead of technology trends and providing high-level technical expertise.
  • Ensuring the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Administering Active Directory and Microsoft Entra.
  • Proactively monitoring the environment and developing performance baselines.
  • Contributing to Knowledge Base articles for reference by L1 and L2 support teams.
  • Handling L3 escalations from the help desk, including troubleshooting endpoint and workstation application-related issues.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree such as BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5-8 years of experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Client/Server OS & Apps, AD).
  • Strong generalist capabilities, with expertise in handling solution design, operational tasks, in-depth troubleshooting, and engineering performance enhancements.
