About the position

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer in Azure Architecture with a strong background in DevOps to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This position requires a deep understanding of Azure services, DevOps practices, and cloud computing, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software releases and cloud deployments. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enforcing best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will also optimize cloud resource utilization, cost, and performance by leveraging Azure cost optimization and monitoring tools. Working closely with development teams, you will resolve issues and improve overall system reliability, scalability, and performance. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, contributing to their professional growth and development. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing, DevOps, and the Azure ecosystem is essential. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create solution designs that meet business needs, while also establishing and maintaining technical documentation and providing training to stakeholders on Azure solutions. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software releases and cloud deployments.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization, cost, and performance, leveraging Azure cost optimization and monitoring tools.
  • Work closely with development teams to resolve issues and improve overall system reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, contributing to their professional growth and development.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing, DevOps, and Azure ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create solution designs that meet business needs.
  • Establish and maintain technical documentation and provide training to stakeholders on Azure solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect) or relevant industry certifications.
  • At least 7 years of experience in an Azure architecture role with a focus on DevOps and experience deploying cloud services at scale.
  • Strong experience with Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure Active Directory.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Arm Templates.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, and GDPR.
  • Experience with serverless computing platforms such as Azure Functions or AWS Lambda.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with containers and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DevOps toolchains such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Travis CI.
  • Participation in open-source projects or communities related to DevOps and cloud computing.
  • GPU / AI Platform Architecture.
