About the position

We are seeking a qualified candidate for an engineering position that requires a strong background in software engineering or a related field. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing code for applications or automation, as well as a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle. This role may require travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, both within and out of state.

• Build and test applications or automation.
• Utilize programming languages for online applications, microservices, APIs, or mobile applications.
• Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in Engineering, Software Engineering or similar field OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience writing code for applications or automation.
• Experience with programming languages for online applications, microservices, APIs or mobile applications.
• Experience building and testing applications or automation.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and Configuration as Code (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Understanding of Policy as Code (OPA, Sentinel, Azure Policy) and Security as Code best practices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and container orchestration concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Basic knowledge of Networking as Code principles and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
