About the position

BAI, a Defense contractor, is seeking experienced DEVOPS Engineers with expertise in Cloud Infrastructure and Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines for a Department of Defense program at Naval Base Point Mugu, CA. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
• Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
• Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
• Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.
• Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.
• Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• Create and set up automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Configure aircraft deployment pipeline and produce release charts.

Requirements

• 3 to 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description and responsibilities.
• 3 years' cloud experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services, particularly S3; Azure or GCP cloud platforms is a plus.
• 3 years' DevOps and DevOps tools experience, particularly with CICD pipelines and agile DevOps workflow.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• 3 years' containerization, orchestration, and micro-services architecture experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• 3 years' version control experience with Git, especially with GitOps workflows.
• 3 years' scripting and programming experience with languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
• 3 years' security experience with IL6+ compliance standards and working with sensitive systems.
• 3 years' deployment and migration experience, including data migration between different storage systems.
• 3 years' monitoring and logging experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• 3 years' agile methodologies experience, working as a Scrum team member.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), and relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• BS or BA degree in a computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline.
