About the position

The Cloud Engineer (Frameworks and Tools) at CVS Health is responsible for solving complex business data problems using modern tools and technologies. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining optimal data pipelines to meet analytics and business requirements across various CVS Lines of Business. The engineer will also focus on automating processes, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring data quality while operationalizing and automating data pipelines in GCP and Azure cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex business data problems using modern tools and technologies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain optimal data pipelines to assemble large and complex data sets that meet analytics and business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement engineering process improvements through automation of manual processes and optimization of data pipelines.
  • Build frameworks for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using GCP technologies.
  • Operationalize and automate data pipelines on GCP/Azure cloud environments.
  • Integrate data from various sources and ensure data quality.
  • Automate pipeline testing and data validations.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of Data/Software development experience.
  • 1+ years hands-on development in Cloud Environment such as GCP/Azure/AWS.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with agile development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: PySpark, Python, SQL, Java.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres/Oracle/Teradata and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Understanding of Data Quality Concepts and experience with Data Quality Tools such as Informatica, OWL, Collibra, Talend, Great Expectations.
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in GCP and Google cloud services such as BigQuery, Data Proc, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer.
  • Experience with Data Observability and Quality Tools like Collibra, Great Expectations, Acryl.
  • ETL Framework development skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working experience of CI/CD pipeline, GIT, Stash, Bit Bucket, Artifactory, Jenkins.
  • Test automation experience.
  • SAFe Agile experience.
