Our Company is seeking a Cloud Engineer specializing in Application Virtualization to assume a leading role in evolving our cloud technology framework. You will collaborate with business technology partners to define the technology roadmap, deploying Azure and AWS cloud solutions to expand our digital portfolio. The ideal candidate will leverage their hands-on experience to lead engineering design, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with development teams, ensuring scalability and security. Your expertise will be crucial in orchestrating end-to-end cloud delivery strategies, from requirements gathering to the documentation of solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions on Azure and AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to virtualize applications and provide expertise on best practices for performance, optimization, cost, and scalability. You will also administer and troubleshoot Windows-based systems, maintain high-security standards, and evaluate new technologies to enhance user experience while ensuring high availability, reliability, and security across cloud environments. Additionally, you will leverage AWS and Azure automation to provision monthly images, ensuring adherence to best practices for cloud and security, and deploy infrastructure on Azure and AWS using tools including Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Azure CLI, PowerShell, and GitHub. Documentation and support are key aspects of this position, as you will develop and uphold comprehensive documentation for system configurations, deployment processes, and procedures utilizing tools such as Confluence and Jira. You will act as a subject matter expert, offering direction, education, and assistance to foster the enhancement of the team's knowledge, skills, and competencies. Continuous learning is encouraged, and you will enhance your proficiency in Azure and AWS technologies by pursuing ongoing education and obtaining certifications while engaging with partners like Microsoft and Amazon for technical assistance and to keep current on the newest product developments and updates.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Azure and AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to virtualize applications and provide expertise on best practices for performance, optimization, cost, and scalability.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows-based systems, maintaining high-security standards.
  • Evaluate new technologies to enhance user experience while ensuring high availability, reliability, and security across cloud environments.
  • Leverage AWS and Azure automation to provision monthly images and deploy infrastructure using tools including Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Azure CLI, PowerShell, and GitHub.

Requirements

  • 3 years hands-on experience engineering, implementing, and managing virtual environments including Microsoft RDS and Azure.
  • 2 years of practical experience in cloud engineering and architecting within Azure and AWS ecosystems, emphasizing virtual services, application delivery, networking, and security.
  • Self-starter with capacity to prioritize and multitask effectively without significant supervision.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues.
  • Outstanding communication, documentation, and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Azure, and/or AWS are preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is expected.
  • Proven capability to align technical decisions with organizational strategy.
