About the position

The Cloud Engineer for the Identity Resolution Project is responsible for developing and securing cloud-based solutions using AWS infrastructure. This role requires a strong background in cloud engineering, particularly with tools such as Python Spark, AWS Glue, and various database technologies. The engineer will work on API development, ensuring security and compliance with best practices in AWS IAM policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and engineer solutions using Python Spark and AWS Glue.
• Manage and write queries for OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, including index management.
• Program with DynamoDB and Neptune Graph Database, utilizing Cypher and Gremlin.
• Develop and secure REST APIs using API Gateway and AWS Lambda.
• Create and manage AWS infrastructure, including IAM roles and policies.
• Integrate AWS applications with VPCs, subnets, load balancers, and DNS servers.
• Implement best practices for IAM roles and policy permissions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering and development using Python Spark.
• Expertise in OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, including query writing and index management.
• Proficient in DynamoDB and Neptune Graph Database programming (Cypher, Gremlin preferred).
• Hands-on experience with REST API development using API Gateway and AWS Lambda.
• Strong understanding of REST API security, authentication, and authorization.
• Ability to develop AWS infrastructure, including creating IAM roles and policies.
• Familiarity with integrating AWS applications with VPCs, subnets, load balancers, and DNS servers.
• Proficient in Git, bash scripting, and version control practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as pytest.
